China wants India to sign pact on border conduct

To maintain peace along the border rather than clarification of Line of Actual Control, China prefers a pact with India on Code of Conduct at border.

Deputy Director General of the Asian Affairs at the Foreign Ministry Huang Xilain said both sides should try to reach an agreement on code of conduct as attempts to clarify mutual positions on the LAC. "Whatever we do in the border area it should be a buildingh block for the process of negotiations not stumbling block", he said.
