India's combat capable Rustom-II drone successfully completes Maiden Test Flight


Giving a boost to India's development programme for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), DRDO successfully carried out the Maiden Flight of RUSTOM-II (TAPAS 201) on 15-Nov-2016.

The Maiden Test flight of Rustom-II took place from Aeronautical Test Range (ATR),  Chitradurga, Karnataka.
It will undergo further trials regarding its design parameters after which it will be ready for user validation tasks.

The DRDO Rustom is a Medium Altitude long Endurance Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV), manufactured by Defence Research and Development Organisation.

Indian Air Force, Indian Army and Indian Navy are the primary users of Rustom.
