Indian Coast Guard Ship AYUSH Commissioned


The last in the series of 20 Fast Patrol Vessel (FPVs), Indian Coast Guard Ship AYUSH got commissioned on 18-Feb-2017 at Kochi, Kerala by Vice Admiral AR Karwe, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command.


About ICGS AYUSH:

  • The ship ICGS AYUSH is a Naval vessel registered in India.
  • It is propelled by three advanced diesel engines coupled with three Rolls Royce Jets to achieve Maximum speed of 33 Knots and has an endurance of 1500 nautical miles at an economical speed of 14 knots.
  •  Length Overall X Breadth Extreme: 50m X 7m.
  • The contract to build 20 new vessels for the CG was awarded to CSL in 2010.
  •  ICGS AYUSH is fitted with state-of-art navigational and Communication equipment including integrated Bridge System (IBS) and Machinery Control System (MCS).
  • The ship is capable of undertaking multifarious tasks such as surveillance, interdiction, search and rescue anti-smuggling and medical evacuation.
